Scope of Service:
The Book-a-Librarian service is available Tuesdays at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., Wednesdays at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., and Thursdays at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. If you are not available during any of the times listed above, please contact the Digital Experiences Librarian directly at digitallibrarian@emporialibrary.org to find another timeslot.
The Book-a-Librarian service covers a wide range of topics including but not limited to:
Research: Help with finding and evaluating information sources, database searching, and citation management.
Technology: Support with using digital library resources like e-collections, library databases, and other digital tools.
Basic computer skills: Instruction on basic computer operations, internet browsing, and software applications.
Basic device troubleshooting: While we cannot provide electrical or programming help with devices we aim to assist patrons with troubleshooting issues with personal devices and helping them find the appropriate resources for IT repairs and assistance.
